IS THERE ANY HOPE IN THIS LIFE?

Posted by izonprize

If we trust only in this life, what a hopeless existence...BUT, there is hope!
These are not my words, but God's words.

Matthew 7:21" Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
Exodus 3:14 God said to Moses, " I AM WHO I AM"; and He said, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'"
John 8:58 Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I AM."
John 10:30 (Jesus Said) I and the Father are one."
John 8:24 "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I AM (He, God), you will die in your sins." (Jesus speaking)
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
John 17:3"This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

Jesus is God, who became a Man, so that He could be the substitute for our punishment. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and the penalty of sin is death. Jesus paid our sin debt. He became our nearest blood relative in order to die in our place. God's spirit did not die on the cross because the spirit never dies. Jesus died bodily on the cross. Only those who put their trust and belief in His work on the cross can be saved from the penalty of sin.

John 1
The Word Became Flesh (If you look carefully at this passage and make a list of everything you learn about the Word, you will discover that The Word was God (vs.1) and the Word was Jesus (vss.14 and 18).
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.
6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.
9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 (John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”) 16 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and[b] is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

NOW:

John 11:25 Jesus said to her, " I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies,
Acts 16:30-31 He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”
John 9:38 And he said, "Lord, I believe." And he worshiped Him.

Praise to God for a Living Hope

1 Peter 1:3-5 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
